I was born in Barcelona, on September 27, 1968.
I am a multidisciplinary artist, feminist and activist, concerned about the voice of women, social injustices and the politics of power, which affects the bodies and the land in which we live. Painting, sculpture, installation, poetry, have been my way of coming to representation. My work serves to create spaces for communication with the viewer and question their own existence. I create spaces that help generate awakenings. Red is a symbol in my work since my beginnings. Thread of life and death, as a meaning that captures at the same time the power and fragility of human flesh. My work is a constant search for truth, the truth that harbors every human being, and I came to performance as an evolution of my artistic work, as a language that allows me to express what I need. But in my performances I include painting, to which I dedicated myself for 20 years, also installation and poetry. I think that acting is a language that adds to the previous ones.It uses the body as memory, material on which it is printed and as a tool to weave against aggression, new ways of being, new forms of socialization. My performances often generate a final work or a live installation, as was the case of Red Line (Série II) that remained in the center of the city of Barcelona as an ephemeral installation for more than 24 hours, and where people participated, even without knowing that a performance had taken place there. My performances are many times in the street, without prior notice, in art centers and alternative spaces. My actions are a political practice and a practice of life, a practice of resistance against the politics of power, are acts of political resistance of my feminine being. I believe that art must be a political space, not for one to be represented, but where one comes into play and puts into play, what there is. Actions against the violence of women, such as VI Meeting of Writers of Ciudad Juárez, LaContra Creation Center “They + Are + Present"; the International Day against gender violence with "Línea Roja "(series I); "Red Line"(series II). Participates in Art Festivals and is Coordinator and artist of the Corpologia Group, a group of action art artists.
