"you don't know who you are
until you remove your mask"
I was born in Barcelona, on September 27, 1968. I am a Catalan multidisciplinary artist concerned about the voice of women, social injustices and the politics of the power of bodies and the earth in life. Painting, sculpture, installation, poetry and performance they use to create spaces of communication with the viewer and so that a question can be given about one's existence, to create spaces that help generate awakenings.
Red is a symbol in my artistic work. Thread of life and also of death, because it captures both the power and the fragility of human flesh. My life has been traversed by male violence dressed in different ways. I use the body as memory, as subject and object, as material in which it is printed, and as a tool to be able to weave new socials, in the face of "aggression".
Since 2009 I perform in public spaces, art centers and alternative spaces. In 2014 I obtained an artistic residency at the Performing Arts Center Can Felipa, with the action << Aparadores y realidades escondidas >> Barcelona, taken to Caixa Fórum, Can Felipa Art Center, Sala Margarida Xirgu. In my work, I carry out actions to protest against women's violence, << They are + Present >> (VI Writers Meeting of Ciudad Juarez, LaContra Creation Center, Barcelona), International Day of << Red Line >> against gender violence (2016).
I coordinate of Corpology, a group of artists of action art in which I participate as an artist, and is editor of the magazine Corpologia> 25.
